Payment options

We require at least 50% (depending on season and how many days you book in advance) of the total amount of stay to be paid as guarantee deposit by bank transfer. Once you have confirmed availability you can proceed with bank transfer.

We accept money transfer by other means, like Western union, PayPal or Moneybookers. For such transfer or any additional information, please contact Hostel stuff directly for additional details.

Currency Exchange Rate

You are obligated to pay full amount upon arrival. The total amount will be calculated by The View stuff in local currency (Brazilian Reais), where you can choose if you want to cancel deposit and pay total sum, or you want deposit to be deducted from the total sum and to pay just remaining amount. Also, note that we will calculate payment based on currency exchange rate at day of payment.

Cancellation Policy

To confirm and guarantee your reservation we request a deposit of 50% of total sum to be paid by bank transfer. Account details are listed at end of document. Remaining amount is paid at arrival to the Hostel. Stays during New Year, Carnival or other feasts will be specified in advance. Please note The View’s strict cancellation policies.

The rules and compensation amounts specified below are valid for cancellation from both the Hostel and by the Guest.

• No show is considered when the Guest doesn’t arrive on the date of check in. Reserved vacancy remains valid for next 24 hours. In case of no show in given time, we will cancel your reservation and no refund is possible.
• In Low and Mid-season (11th of March – 30th of November) the Guest is obligated to pay 50% deposit of total sum.
• Cancellation up to 4 days (96 hours) prior to arrival will result in 100% refund of paid deposit.
• Cancellation from 4 to 2 days (96 to 48 hours) prior to arrival will result in 50% refund of paid deposit.
• Cancellation in less than 2 days (48 hours) prior to arrival will result in no refund possible.
• In High season (1st of December – 10th of March) the Guest is obligated to pay 50% deposit of total sum.
• Cancellation up to 15 days prior to arrival will result in 100% refund of paid deposit.
• Cancellation from 14 to 8 days prior to arrival will result in 50% refund of paid deposit.
• Cancellation in less than 8 days prior to arrival will result in no refund possible.
• In special occasions/dates (New Year, Carnival days, and other specified in advance) the Guest is obligated to pay in advance total amount of stay.
• Cancelation up to 30 days prior to arrival will result in 100% refund of paid sum.
• Cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival will result in 100% refund of paid sum.

• Cancelation from 29 to 15 days in advance will result in 50% refund of paid sum.
• Cancelation in less than 15 days prior to arrival will result in no refund possible.
• In case of early departure or cancelation any individual night(s) of your reservation upon arrival and room occupancy, deposit will not be refunded for reservation period
• In case that you want to book accommodation for groups bigger than 10 guests, we advise you to contact Hostel directly, as numerous benefits are available and rules that apply are result of compromise between Hostel and Guest.

Please note that any cancelation must be notified directly to the Hostel staff in given times as stated above. We only accept requests for cancelation of reservation done by our booking system with usage of booking ID and other details provided on reservation. If you want to cancel your reservation in direct communication with Hostel staff, you are obligated to provide written and signed request (by fax, or scanned and sent via email) together with booking ID.

Over-bookings

In case more guests than can be accommodated arrive, due to Hostel overbooking or any other circumstance, the Hostel will arrange accommodation for guests at its expense, at a comparable hostel in nearby area for oversold night(s). The Hostel will also take care of transportation to that hostel.

Additional services

The View stuff strives to accommodate our guests in best possible manner. Therefore, we offer variety of extra services and features that could arose your interests. With arrangements of the Hostel, you can take surfing lessons, go to boat excursions, sailing and cursing, rent an equipment, bike or car, go for sightseeing, and much more. For some of these services, you can pay directly at Hostel, and for some, we will just provide consultation service. If you want to book any of these services in advance, please write to our stuff.
